As the sun rises over Canyonlands, it causes the underside of Mesa Arch to glow bright orange - well worth the long drive and hike in the dark to witness!

I Heart Antelope Canyon
Antelope Canyon is full of secrets and surprises. You have to tilt your head (or camera) on one side to see this shape.
I crossed the Hudson River before dawn to find a spot in Weehawken, New Jersey from which I might capture the rising run glinting off the skyscrapers of Manhattan: in the end I was lucky enough to get two sunflares in the same shot.
It's mind-boggling to consider that these arches are what's left when millions of years of water erosion have eaten away at a solid mass of rock!
